Want to learn the exciting sport of rowing or perhaps enhance your current rowing skills and development? Come and row on the stunningly beautiful Lake Leelanau, starting from the historic Fountain Point Resort located at the picturesque northern end of South Lake Leelanau. The waters here are uniquely protected from the wind for over 30 miles, providing ideal open water conditions that are unmatched by any other rowing space in the great state of Michigan. You’ll have the opportunity to row both in scull and sweep styles, as well as engage in coastal boat rowing, which will be a feature in the upcoming 2028 Olympics! This fantastic class, offered through North Michigan College (NMC), is available thanks to its partnership with the Lake Leelanau Rowing Club.
